SRT Subtitle Translator AI (“Subtitle Translator”, “we”, “our”, or “the app”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our macOS application.

1. Information We Collect

Subtitle Translator is designed to work primarily on your device. We do not collect personal information such as your name, email address, or location, except as described below.

Subtitle content. When you translate a subtitle file, the text is sent to our AI translation provider for processing. The text is not stored on our servers after the translation completes.
Subscription data. If you purchase a Pro subscription, payments are processed entirely by Apple. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status; only an anonymous subscriber identifier is shared.
Anonymous usage analytics. We may collect aggregated, anonymous data about app usage (e.g., which features are used, crash reports) to improve product quality. This data cannot be used to identify you.

2. How We Use Information

To provide AI-powered subtitle translation.
To validate your subscription status across devices.
To diagnose crashes and improve app stability.

3. Data Storage

Your subtitle files, translations, projects, and preferences are stored locally on your Mac. We do not store your subtitle files on our servers. Translation requests pass through our AI provider in real time and are not retained beyond what is necessary to fulfill the request.

4. Third-Party Services

Subtitle Translator relies on the following third-party services:

AI translation provider — processes subtitle text in real time to produce translations.
Apple App Store / StoreKit — handles all payment transactions.
RevenueCat — manages subscription entitlements and cross-device sync.

Each provider operates under its own privacy policy. We share only the minimum data required for each service to function.

5. Your Rights

You can request deletion of any data associated with your subscription by contacting us at the email below. You can cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings.

6. Children's Privacy

Subtitle Translator is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect any data transmitted between the app and our providers. All network traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS).

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
